Isaac has, for the last couple weeks, been desperately trying to grab our food/utensils/hands (basically anything) to help himself to our food.  He has also been smacking his lips while we eat.   You can just tell by the look in his eyes that he wants - nay - needs food.

So today I gave him his first bite of cereal.  His excitement was out of this world.  He flung his arms wide out to the side while shaking and squealing with excitement when he saw me mixing it up.  He knew it was food.

When I first put the food into his mouth he was a little confused because up until this point we have only given him a spoon to hold/play with.  But when he realized what I had given him his confusion quickly turned to joy again.  He couldn't get enough!  He also did quite well at keeping the food in his mouth.   He only got upset once; when the food was gone and I wouldn't make more because I want to take it easy on his tummy.
