We joined our cousins at the zoo during our break. Apparently many others decide the same thing - you know since it was UEA weekend and the weather turned unusually warm for mid October. 80 degrees and shorts and t-shiest is certainly NOT typical for this time of year.
There were so many people there Andrew got overwhelmed very quickly. I ended up laying him in Isaac's carseat and used both sun shades to block out all of the people so he couldn't see them. He pretty much shut down and stressed himself out so much with anxiety that he fell asleep for awhile. Isaac on the other hand was enjoying all of the new newness. This was his first trip to the zoo had was very content hanging out with his Aunt and Uncle. Only when he was tired or hungry did he want me.
The kids had a blast running around the zoo with their cousins - everyone had a buddy, it was perfect. Most of the cousins rode on the carousel (which Isaac just loved watching) while Andrew, Sariah, Amy, Isaac and I rode the train. Andrew was pretty quite and stayed close to me when he was awake. But I'm pretty sure he had fun. The other kiddos - hands down - had a blast.
