A bumper crop

We are absolutely thrilled this year to actually have a crop from our apple tree!  In years past we have only had a few apples, just enough to eat but nothing to really do anything with.  Well this year we got almost 2 full bushels of apples that are good which just happens to be what we needed.  We can now make apple sauce and dried apples to restock what we have used and have extra (because we never went through all of what we have.  I'm so excited to be able to preserve everything and enjoy a few fresh organic apples.

Everyone had fun picking the apples, climbing the ladders, sharing bad apple with our chickens, eating apples and running away from the fuzzy black spiders who made a great home in our tree.

I must say, fall and harvest time is my absolute favorite time of year.  :)
