Until we meet again

At 2:36 pm (central time) the sweetest, kindest, funniest, most hard working and stubborn man I know - who taught me exactly what I wanted in a husband - returned to his Father in Heaven and into the loving arms of his wife just in time for their anniversary. I'm sure he is up there giving our new little guy some last minute advice and snuggles. I just hope he doesn't detain him too much longer.  I know if I were him I wouldn't want to leave his side.

I'm grateful that he is no longer in pain, that he is free to run around again and to have his mind back.  I'm grateful that he passed away peacefully surrounded my family.  I am grateful for the knowledge of eternal families, that I have the privilege of calling this man grandpa, for the legacy he left behind and the future he has given me.

There is more to say, but for now this is enough.
