21 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:  The last couple weeks I have been pretty sick with the flu and a nasty horrible cold.  Being sick while pregnant and not being able to take much to help with the symptoms is pretty rough but I survived.  I have also dealt with a pulled muscle in my abdomen from coughing and have been experiencing contractions. Nothing to worry about mostly due to being sick.  But I'm better so nothing to complain about - right?

How far along:  21 weeks

Size of baby:  According to my weekly email the baby is about 10.5 inches long and 1 lb - or the size of a carrot.

Stretch Marks:  Nothing new.

Gender:  We are not finding out.  This baby will be the tie breaker for our family, and for grandchildren on all sides.  So we are keeping the gender a surprise until the wee one makes their appearance.

Name:   We have some picked out either way, but again are not sharing.

Movement:  I have defiantly felt tickling and rolling this past week.  Mostly early in the morning or at night - basically the only times I am not up chasing kids around.

Sleep:  Unisom is my friend.

Exercise:   Because I have been sick there has not been much exercising getting done.  I hope to start doing some walking if my hip will stop going out and getting stuck.

What I miss:  I miss sleeping through the night.

Cravings:  Cinnamon rolls, anything Italian, fruit and salads.

Aversions: Beef, mexican and anything BBQ - oh and anything greasy.

Best moment of the week: Not being sick anymore!  Also I made a blanket and learned how to make crib sheets.  Surprisingly easy.

Looking forward to: Finishing our projects around the house and getting our crib and some clothes (boy and girl) washed up and ready to go so we can be prepared either way.
