16 weeks

I realize I look really tired in this picture.  But I guess that's what happens when you stay up late wrapping gifts and then wake up at 4 am from an odd dream.  Looks like a double nap is order today....

Pregnancy Highlights:  Cravings have set in.  & they are not the so healthy type either... :/

How far along:  16 weeks

Size of baby:  According to my weekly email the baby is about 4.5 inches long and 3.5 oz - or the size of an avocado.  Mmm avocado...  Over the next few weeks the baby will double in size.

Stretch Marks:  Nothing new.

Gender:  We are not finding out.  This baby will be the tie breaker for our family, and for grandchildren on all sides.  So we are keeping the gender a surprise until the wee one makes their appearance.

Name:   We have some picked out either way, but again are not sharing.

Movement:  I have felt tickling and rolling this past week.  Not very often but when I do I know for sure it's the baby.

Sleep:  I've had to take some of he Unisom the last week.  It totally helped me sleep better though I'm still exhausted.   I have to take an hour nap every day at 2 or I am unable to function the rest of the evening.  So please don't bother me during that time, ok?

Exercise:   I'm organizing like crazy and going up and down the stairs way to many times to count.

What I miss:  I do miss sleeping through the night, but that's about it. I'm still enjoying my extra wind of energy (most of the time) and better relationship with food.

Cravings:  Cravings have started but they are not the super healthy foods.  Like Chips and nacho cheese dip, or cinnamon rolls, mmm - not together though, that would be sick. I do let myself have a little of what I'm craving but always try to compensate the bad foods with some healthy stuff throughout the day. I find if I don't eat what I crave then I over eat something else to try and fill that craving.

Aversions:  Still beef, mexican (except for corn chips and nacho cheese dip-that's heavenly) and anything BBQ - oh and anything a little greasy.

Best moment of the week: Feeling our little one move and KNOWING for sure it wasn't anything else.

Looking forward to: Sleeping better.
