He loves construction equipment, cars and trains but mostly 'ba-das' (aka: airplanes). It doesn't matter where we are if he sees or hears an airplane his whole face will light up and he will excitedly exclaim: BA-DA!!!!
He loves 'cangy' (aka: candy). Especially if it chocolate.
He loves to run, be outside, go down the slide and swing. But most especially he loves our "chekee" (chickens) and goes absolutely crazy chasing them around the yard trying to catch them. He will get so mad and frustrated if he can't get one but squeal with delight when he finally does.
He favorite foods are: carrots, broccoli, apples, grapes, pears, noodles, hotdogs, chips, cheese, yogurt, cookies, brownies, ice-cream and of course cake. He has such a sweet tooth. Sometimes I will find him in the corner, hiding behind the chair with the container of cookies (or other treats) stuffing his face.
He is an AMAZING sleeper. Since he was only months old he was sleeping through the night. He puts himself to sleep by either kicking his feet and/or singing to himself. He has been amazing at transitioning to a big boy bed. Once he is in his bed he stays there, all night. He sleeps anywhere from 12-14 and occasionally 16 hours a night. I know! It's crazy!!! But we LOVE it, a lot!!
He is my big helper. Whenever it comes time to clean up he is there working hard right along side us picking up toys, putting dishes away, raking leaves, cleaning out the chicken coop or gathering trash to put the cans.
Needless to say there are so many fun things about him that we just love. We couldn't wait to make his day super special. Benjamin seemed especially excited waking up at 5 am wanting to know if it was morning time yet. Andrew of course slept in, even with us trying to help him wake up. When he was finally stirring all of the kids got on his big boy bed and tried to convince him to come and see his presents. His answer was a grumpy "NO!" After giving him some more time to slowly wake up he finally got excited about presents and came running out to the family room. He loved every single gift he got and played with it all day long. He hardly stopped playing to eat anything today.

Until it came time for his cake. He was excited for that.
I had picked out this idea for his cake MONTHS ago but just for fun I sat down with him yesterday and looked at 108 different cakes (knowing that this cake was in the batch) just to see what he would get excited about. He didn't show any excitement about any of the other cakes until he saw this one. When he saw it excitedly exclaimed "OH! I eat that!!!" It totally made my heart happy - especially when he showed his excitement at seeing the finished product in person.
My favorite part of the cake was the construction tape striped inside, the kids loved the fake chocolate rocks. Andrew enjoyed everything about it and couldn't wait to dive in. After we sang to him he immediately started licking and biting into the sides of the cake, giggling and squealing with delight.
