The Desolation of Frog

Tonight we finished off the birthday celebrations by devouring Andrews frog cake.  It turned out pretty cute I think.  The mouth was a little scary but eh, whatever.

Andrew was super excited when we were singing to him.  He kept pointing to the cake with wide excited eyes. He even did a good job of blowing out his own candle (have I mentioned that he is really good at blowing on his own food?  Super cute!), though Hannah did admit to helping him a little.

 

I'm pretty sure he got SOME cake in his mouth and down to the inside of his belly - as opposed to the outside. But he mostly had fun poking it, ripping it and throwing some down on the ground with an emphatic "Uh-oh!"  He is such a silly boy and so expressive which made it so much fun to watch him enjoy his first birthday cake.

I love this little boy to bits.
