We spent New Years Eve at home (as usual) with our traditional snack food dinner. Basically this is the one time of year when we go down the grocery store isle and I let the kids each pick 1 or 2 things they absolutely want to eat that I don't normally buy. They had a lot of fun picking out food, eating until their stomachs almost popped and then going back for seconds. This years menu included: deviled eggs, jalepano poppers, vegetable egg rolls, Doritos, chips with spicy cheese dip and guacamole (we do eat guacamole quite regularly), some rice popcorn chips, cream cheese rollups, chocolate-lots of chocolate, dried kiwi, gigantic M&M cookies, Sprite and of course fruit and vegetables. You have to have something healthy in there...right?
As we sat around eating our snacky dinner we also upend our 'Good Times 2015' jar. We had a blast reading, re-living and talking about everything we did through out this last year. This is defiantly a tradition we will continue for many years. After eating and chatting we watched a movie and couple shows and sent the kids to bed at 9 pm....that is way later than normal for them. One year I know we won't be able to get away with an earlier bed time so for now I will live it up.
