We are so awed by our Rachel-roo. She has grown up so much this last year. Not only is she taller, smarter and more beautiful; she is also more mature, helpful and responsible. I too often rely on her help with Isaac but she enjoys it and she is really so good with him (and Andrew). The other night she bathed and dressed Andrew for bed for me. I love her to bits. I love watching her grow up, learning new things and experiencing so many new adventures.
For her birthday this year she got some more Lego sets, lots of new books and an artist drawing set. Most of the papers and pencils in the box came from her great grandpa who recently passed away. The box to keep everything was especially made just for her from her great uncle Bill. He is an amazing wood artist. He designed the box and included a little adjustable easel built right into the box; and to top it all off he carved her initials in it. She is in LOVE! For her birthday show and tell at school she brought that gift in to show her class.
