Today is our Benjamin's 7th birthday.
He is a very creative, strong willed (I mean that in every good way possible), stubborn, sweet, and caring kiddo. He sure loves his brothers and pestering his sisters.
His favorite things to do besides pestering his sisters (and running around the house to burn off energy) are: building things, taking things apart, figuring things out, inventing new things, tinkering with things, and collecting things. So I was very excited when I found these engineering kits for kids his age. There are several different ones that teach about all sorts of things engineering. There is a book in each one that teaches about a certain subject then gives you tasks to perform with the 7 different projects you make. Of course everything you need to build the projects are included - my kind of awesome. He was very excited about the prospect of building something he wanted to do it right away and not go to school.
But I was able to pry him away eventually with the promise that he could do it after school.
