Since I did some painting in the brother of Andrew and Andrew's room the other kiddos felt they wanted a bedroom make-over too. There was much weeping and wailing on the issue. Since I really enjoy painting, I know I have a problem, it didn't take much to convince me to make the changes. I gathered some ideas from Pinterest of what I would be willing to do, then one evening I sat down and showed them the ideas. The kiddos had a lot of fun looking at the ideas and quickly determined what they wanted and in what colors.
The only stipulation was that if I re-painted their rooms they would have to switch rooms - giving Benjamin the bigger room since now we know that we will have 3 boys in one room, eventually. I was quite surprised at how ok they all were with the idea of switching rooms, especially the girls. But they were so I gathered my supplies and got to work. The girls room is finished as of today, except for hanging their pictures back on the wall. I still have much work to do to finish Benjamin's room. He is being very patient and I very much appreciate it.
So without further ado I introduce you to the girls new room. Rachel specifically asked if I could paint flowers on the wall that matched her curtains. This was my first time ever painting anything like that on a wall. It was a little nerve wracking but I think they turned out cute and whimsical. Not perfect but the girl are in love with everything. They wanted a room that was colorful, cute, whimsical and fun. I think they got it.
And where is their dresser you ask? They don't have one. The amazing organization system we have in the closet has a built in dresser. LOVE IT!!
