We have been lucky enough to get some substantial rain the last couple days and they are forecasting more this week.  We have loved the cooler weather, the moist, fresh breath of air, the smell and of course the rain.

Yesterday we took a bike ride (5 miles round trip) to the library in the rain.  It was wonderful!  It was just a light sprinkle, just enough to cool you off but not soak you.  The books on the other hand got wet even in the bike trailer...but only because the water bottle next to Andrew leaked all over them.  Sigh.

Today we had a grand downpour during and just after dinner. I was telling the kiddos when I was little and it was raining like this we would get into our swimsuits, bring out the soap and take a shower in the rain.  They thought I was totally crazy and kept asking if it was cold in the wintertime!  Well of course I wouldn't do it in the winter time - sillies.

Well after dinner I coaxed them all outside to watch the rain, then next thing I knew they were out running and having a grand time in the down pour. There was much screaming, puddle jumping, running around and gaiety to be had. I loved it!
