I took Andrew in today for his well check appointment. I was just there on Friday with him because he was not feeling well. Turns out he had/has strep. The doctor was quite surprised that it actually came back positive. He said he usually doesn't see it in kids as young as him but there is always one that throws him for a loop. After being on antibiotics for just a day he was a ton better, and today he is his old self. Antibiotics are a beautiful thing.
He is super silly, he jabbers constantly, he loves to dance, empty the dishwasher (whether the dishes are clean or not), pretend to fall down, run, his body is quickly learning to keep up with his feet so he is falling less, look out the window and watch for Rachel or daddy to come home, be outside, he loves to sit in the rocker with me while Rachel plays the piano, sing, lead the music, pray, throw things at people, and play peek-a-boo. But his all time favorite thing to do is to sit on my lap and read books. Almost every morning after Rachel and Benjamin are off to school I sit down and drags over his huge basket of books. We read every single one at least once then we move on to basket number 2. We repeat this after he wakes up from his nap and again before bedtime. It is relaxing, sometimes too relaxing....it's a good thing I can read those things in my sleep.
He is fluctuating right around 19 lbs. 8 oz. It is interesting to think he started out so chunky and yet now he is a skinny-minny just like the rest of them. He is tall though (compared to the other kiddos at this age anyway) at 30 inches. He has consistently been about 2 inches taller than Ben was at every stage. So maybe he will be end up taller than his younger brother, I guess we will find out in many years to come.
