Hot Butter Lightening

Last night we were slammed with freezing rain then heavy wet snow on top of it.  Perfect weather for sledding, snowballs, snow forts and snowmen. Not perfect weather for shoveling.

Uff da, that was heavy. I feel like I have been hit by a semi...  And guess what; we will have to shovel again before the day is through.  Storms like this make we wish we really did invest in a snow blower...maybe next year.

At any rate, while I was slaving away trying to make it possible for us to get in and out of our driveway Hannah and Benjamin were having a ball playing on the hill I created.  Oh to be a kid again.  Life was so much more fun.

I loved watching them play and was quite envious.  My favorite parts were:

1. Hannah yelling "Hot butter lightening!!!" every time she went down the hill.

2. Benjamin yelling "Cowabunga!" when he jumped off the hill.

3. When they both made a super-silly-bad-guy snow man together then proceeded to take him out while they slid down the hill.

I sometimes wore my snow pants while shoveling, too. If it was bad enough. Get you some. ;)
