Conference time

After soccer this morning we quickly ran home to enjoy General Conference.  We love being able to listen our prophet for counsel and direction.

Of course when we get a little antsy from sitting for so long we have to have treats and little activities to do.

One of my favorite things I came up with is our 'key word treat cups'.  In an effort to help the kids somewhat  paying attention we write key words to listen for on a cup.  If the speaker says that key word they kids get to pick out a treat in the cup.  This year we have gumballs, suckers, jelly beans (thank you Easter Bunny!), and frosted animal crackers. Yes, I know, it's a lot of sugar but seriously kids will do anything for candy.  And yes bribery works.

I love the treat cups! Our bingo games don't hold their attention, but, this might do the trick. Adults can play, too, right?
