38 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:  I am now officially 'full term' so he is more than welcome to come anytime.  Though he disagrees.  I won't evict him even though at times it sounds really nice. We thought a few times this last week that it was time.  I would get contractions that would be 7 min apart for 4 hours then they would stop for a few hours and start again.  It's been happening all week long. Some even happen in the middle of the night.  I also thought my water broke on Sunday but it didn't. The starting and stopping of contractions is very exhausting and I wish that they would make up their mind....

How Far Along: 38 Weeks

Size of Baby:  I didn't see the doctor this week but I'm sure he is still big enough to come out and be healthy.

Weight: 202 lbs

Total Weight Gain: 26.2 lbs (that's a 2 lb loss from last week)

Gender: Boy

Name:  Andrew Marc

Movement:  His movements are strong when they happen.  A whole lot of jabbing that hurts my already stretched belly.

Maternity Clothes: Not much has changed from last week.  I did try something new on Sunday and it worked pretty well.  I safety pinned my skirt to my undershirt so it wouldn't fall down.  I wish I would have tried that weeks ago but now I know what I can do for the remaining time.

Sleep:  Is a thing of my dreams.  I get a few hours here and a few hours there.

What I miss:  Being able to  pick my feet up to walk.

Cravings:  Ice water still. I get up way too often - for my liking - in the middle of the night for a tall glass of ice water.

Aversions:  The turkey over Thanksgiving was okay (not because of Dad's cooking) but I was able to enjoy pond scum, yams and other  yummy stuff.

Best moment of the week:  Spending time with family for Thanksgiving, laughing so much my belly hurt beyond belief, getting shelves up in our bedroom and decorating for Christmas.

Looking forward to:  My appointment on Monday.
