New Beds

Today, we have been BUSY! Marc literally shot out of bed at 6 am this morning and we've been going ever since. After getting ready and having a quick breakfast he went out and tilled our garden, then we transplanted some plants, and thinned the onions. After that he had just enough time to get cleaned up before our wonderful home-teacher came with his truck so they could pick up the new beds for the kids. Now our house is wonderful, it's been a great starter home for us but we have had to rack our brains trying to figure out how to fit 2 twin beds and a crib into the coolest (temp wise) part of the house. After MUCH re-arranging (again . . .), measuring and planning we finally figured out a way to get everything to fit. It's a tight squeeze and we are hoping that Hannah will be a much better sleeper than Rachel and Benjamin, but I think it will work. If it doesn't we can just re-assess the situation later. For now, it's going to work - I hope.

The beds are really bunk beds but Rachel is still too little to for us to have them bunked (which is one of the big problems we ran into), so we had to separate them. They are beautiful beds and pretty easy to put together.

Benjamin and Rachel are 'sort of' in their own rooms still. But as you can see from the picture the rooms are pretty much attached. Our room used to be the beige room and the nursery was the green room - it worked perfectly that way but we couldn't get the beds to fit in Rachel's old room so we had to be inventive. Like I said I think it will work . . .

So Benjamin gets the 'green' room with mostly blue accents - perfect for a little boy. He LOVES his new bed and his new freedom.

Rachel and Hannah will share the beige room with pink and purple accents. Rachel LOVES her new bed too, she is a little disappointed that her bed isn't "on the top" but when we told her that she would share a room with Hannah she forgot all about not being "on the top."

Tonight will be the BIG test. Will Benjamin and Rachel actually go to sleep or get up and play together . . .

Those beds are super cute and I love the colors of the walls. Before we moved we had 3 girls in one room and it was tight but worked for as long as we needed it to.
