So why did I take a picture of my daughter when she is so clearly in distress? To document something pretty funny, cute and inventive. For various reasons, all of which relate to life being unfair to a 3 year old, we have had to tell Rachel, "Go to your room and have some calm down time." Usually during this time no one goes into her room, we give her some space then when she is ready (aka: calm) she can come out and join us. Well one day I had to go into her room (I don't remember the reason), when I did I found her sitting on and surrounded by all of her stuffed animals. Seeing that kind of made me curious, why would she be down there and not on her bed? Later after she was calm she came to me and said "Mommy, I want to show you something." So I followed her into her room where she pointed to pile of stuffed animals and said "Look mommy I made a comfort spot with all of my animals. They make me feel better!" There was my explanation, she was just finding a way to comfort and calm her self down. What a smart girl! : )

I might have some insight for ya on this! When I was in nursery with Rachel I put a blanket in the corner in front of the other wards cupboards and told the kids they could go lay there if they were sad, tired, or needed alone time. I wonder if she remembered that! :) What a cutie!
I wouldn't put it past her! You were so inspired in Nursey, too bad you won't be there for when Benjamin is going to be in there. :(
That is just precious and a picture is truly worth a thousand words!
We all need a comfort spot, don't we?
