Decorating for another Christmas!

We actually decorated for Christmas on November 28th, I'm just a little behind in posting about it. We decided to decorate and have "Christmas" a little early while my mom still out here with us. Decorating with 2 little ones underfoot can get a little . . . crazy, so it was sure nice to have an extra set of adult hands helping us. ; )

Rachel and Benjamin enjoyed taking the branches out of the box. We actually had pretty good assembly line going on. Mom would take them out and fluff them up, Rachel would then give them to Marc, who then put them on the 'trunk.'
Benjamin helped in his own special way. He would take the branches and put them into the other Christmas boxes. We were a little confused as to why some of our branches were missing until we saw his stash.
These are some of our new Christmas tree ornaments the kids and my mom made while she was out here. They aren't anything fancy, just some pieces of foam cut out and decorated with more glitter foam pieces. Rachel sure had a blast making them and they fit in well with our other home-made, hand-me-down ornaments.
When Marc and I were hanging the beads we looked down to see we had a couple of little helpers.
Rachel and Benjamin sure enjoyed hanging the ornaments on the tree. They also enjoy taking them off again, and hanging them back on, then taking them off . . . I think you get the picture.

Here is our nativity set on top of our piano. I love this set from Willow Tree. It is so simple yet so beautiful and captivating. One of my favorite parts is that there are no faces. My other favorite part is knowing that my Sister-in-Laws have the same set. So when I look at mine it's like I'm looking at theirs and no matter how far apart we may be I can still feel close to them.
Here are our beautiful stockings Marc's mom made for us. : )
And here is our tree in all of it's glory. The ornaments keep re-arranging themselves (hmm, wonder why . . .) so the tree changes a little from day to day but over all it stays the same.
