Thanksgiving morning started off with a visit to the ER. Isaac had come down with croup on Tuesday. By Wednesday night he was struggling to breath comfortably and we spent most of the night not sleeping. Early Thursday we decided he need to be seen by a doctor but the only place open was the ER. I took him in where they measured his breathing as 132 breaths a minute instead of the 60 that is 'normal.' We visited with the on call dicot where they gave him some steroids, and a breathing treatment. After both of those he was breathing more comfortably and slept. We were there 5 hours waiting for some more tests to come back. During those 5 hours Marc and I were texting trying to decide if we should go down to his parents or not. Ultimately we decide to go even though we would be late for the meal. We also decided to sped the night because we were extremely tired. We were so blessed that he slept much better that night and continued to get better as the days progressed.
