Hay ride

On October 14th I pulled the kids out early from school so we could go to J&J's for our free hayride and carving pumpkins.  We LOVE this tradition and have not missed a year since we moved here 5 1/2 years ago. Some years Marc is able to come with us but many times I end up braving it by myself with all of the kids - it's really not as bad as it sounds.  As long as they all only pick  pumpkin that they can carry.  This year the wind picked up like crazy while we were picking out our pumpkins and didn't stop until we were at home - then the wind disappeared. Go figure.  Even with the wind (and dust that was a result) the kiddos loved the hayride and getting pulled out of school early. Isaac described all of the pumpkins he saw in one repeated word: YUMMMMM!
