So.......This is basically our summer in a very large nut shell:
Isaac had surgery on his right eye for some clogged tear ducts on July 13th. He was not a happy camper when he woke up. The surgery was mostly successful. He still has some blockages so we are looking at another surgery to put tubes in his tear ducts.
We dressed up for chick-fila cow day (don't even remember the date!) and ate some yummy free chicken!! We also attended my the play Mary Poppins. It was amazing! It was also far away so it ended up being a late night. But we all surveyed and Andrew sings "let's go fly a kite!" on a daily basis now. So...win-win!
Benjamin and Hannah were having a bit too much fun one day at breakfast...those two crack me up.
Rachel and Benjamin took a RAD's kid self defense class the first week in July. They loved it, I love that they have learned some safety techniques. We plan on repeating this class every summer.
Some Random Andrew and Isaac shenanigans. Told
Benjamin started cub scouts and earned his Bobcat badge in the first week of joining.
More Andrew and Isaac shenanigans. They loved playing in the mud.
LOTS of pool time.
We took a quick trip to ID for my friends wedding reception. We stopped to see the ID Falls Temple. It ended up being under construction so we could only see it through the fence. Still a beautiful temple.
Isaac being silly. He loves to play with helmets and 'ride' the trike. He also love to swing.
We had a boys night while the girls were at the father daughter campout. We watched 2 Star Wars movies and enjoyed a death-star pizza and sleeping in the family room.
The kids survived many bike rides this summer. Our longest was a 6 mile one. I'm proud of them!
Daddy Daughter campout was a success. They had a blast roasting dogs and marshmallows, playing games with friends, sleeping in the tent and just creating good memories.
Lots of chalk drawing opportunities. This was by far our best and most epic one.
We had a summer kids party in our backyard that included: 17 children, 200 water balloons, 2 pools, water guns, cookies, otter pops and a HUGE EPIC water fight in which I lost horribly.
The girls got their ears pierced with matching earrings for their birthday.
We celebrated 11 years of marriage by having my grandparents sealed together on August 20th in the Ogden Temple.
PHEW!!! What a summer!! And THAT was not NOT everything.
