Christmas. Ah the time of year when parents go crazy and the kids go bazzerk. Really though it's a fun time. The kiddos were extra excited this year for Christmas it seemed. So much so that one of them, named Rachel, just couldn't sleep. She first ventured upstairs at 12:45 am, then 1:45, 3:30, 5:30....you get the idea. Between her excitement, not sleeping, Isaac waking up to eat I'm pretty sure I didn't sleep much.
The rest of the crew was awake about 5:30 am but they had to wait until after 7 to open anything because they is our rule. Waiting was complete and utter torture for them. The word of the day was "WAIT".
Santa seemed to enjoy his cookies and hot cocoa with fresh whipped cream this year and he also got a little creative with their present display. Each kiddo got a power ranger and instead of Santa wrapping each doll individually he set them up around the tree as if they were guarding the presents. The kids loved it!
The kids all loved their gifts and are excited for everything but the most exciting gift came from Grandma Dorothy and Great Grandpa John. They got us a 10 person tent to replace our small one we have out grown and is broken. We haven't been able to go camping for 3 years but now we can and we are all excited!.
