We attended an awards ceremony this morning in which our Rachel-roo was awarded the honor of excellence for a picture she drew. She put a lot of time and effort into it. We were told out of 40 entries in her age group she took 1st. Her picture, entitled 'Knights on a Quest', is headed on to the next round of judging. We are so excited and thrilled for our girl, but we are more pleased with her effort and sportsmanship. Naturally she was excited for herself but she was also excited for everyone else. The group picture includes all of the kiddos moving on to the next round (in the different categories : literature, dance, movie, visual art, and photography).
She is our little ray of sunshine.
