Pregnancy Highlights:  Coming to terms that we are having a boy :)

How far along:  27 weeks

Size of baby:  According to my weekly email the baby is now over 14.5 inches long and over 2 lbs.  About the size of a head of cauliflower.  But remember  from our ultrasound he is measuring ahead.  I have had several people comment on how it looks like I have have a basketball under my shirt - because that's exactly what it looks like.  So if you are curious to know what a day in the life of pregnant Liz is like.  Grab a basketball, put it up your shirt and you are set to go! :)

Stretch Marks:  Nothing new.  The old ones are quite visible now.

Gender:  BOY

Name:   We finally have a name and it feels good.  Naming him makes the fact that we are having a boy even more real.  But we will not be spilling he beans on his name.

Movement:  He is still very active early morning, later in the evening and around 2 pm.  Which is most likely his awake times.  He is also getting quite strong.  Marc and Hannah have been able to feel him kick (or elbow or punch or knee them).  Hannah's eyes lit up with excitement when she was able to feel him.

Sleep:  Insomnia and bathroom visits are annoying.

Exercise:   I've been trying to go walking every other day.  Not far, about a mile each time.  It wears me out though.  Between a pulled muscle in my belly that is having a hard time healing and my SI joint being out and not going back in no matter what we do, it can be quite painful.  Sometimes I wonder if it's worth the effort.  But I will continue as long as I possibly can.

What I miss:  I miss sleeping through the night and doing things without all the extra effort.

Cravings:  Cinnamon rolls, anything Italian, fruit and salads.

Aversions: Beef, mexican and anything BBQ - oh and anything greasy.

Best moment of the week: Marc and Hannah being able to feel him move. Also figuring out what color his blanket will be that Marc's mom will be making for him (ORANGE! How fun is that?) and re-decorating the room he and Andrew will share.  Since we will have boys next to each other I decided to make the room fit for little boys.  I painted stripes on the wall, made some cute pictures of woodland creatures (raccoon, owl and fox) and bought material to make some crib sheets (our other sheets were getting worn out after 4 kids).  This is what I have been doing for the last 2 weeks.  Totally make-over cost = $20 for the material to makes sheets and stuff to make pictures (we were lucky enough to have all the paint colors already - thanks to my love of painting).

Looking forward to: Having the kiddos help pick out a few new outfits for him and my appointment in 2 weeks.  I plan to have my OB confirm that we are having a boy...yes I know, I have a problem.
