Patriotic Lovin

Yesterday we showed our patriotic pride at the parade wearing our red, white & blue.  We LOVE our country, we LOVE all those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom, we LOVE our freedom, we LOVE our family and we LOVE going to parades.

The day started out very early and ended very very very late.  Even though today we are starting out slow, groggy and tired every moment of yesterday was worth it.

After the parade we headed to grandma and grandpa Anson's for some much needed relaxin.  Shortly after the cousins came we had a yummy dinner & enjoyed Benjamin's birthday cake. This year Benjamin wanted a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting.  He also wanted some Star Wars figurines on top but we forgot them at home so he was okay with some rainbow sprinkles on top.  I must say that was probably the best cake I've ever made. It was a little rough around the edges but it was delicious.  And Benjamin was happy with the cake and all of his Book of Mormon figurines.

After cake we headed out for fireworks with grandma & grandpa & Sam.  The kiddos had fun playing on the playground and running around like hoodlums before the show started.
