She brought with here several pieces of furniture my Uncle Bill built for us and an old late 1800's love seat from my great great grandmother. I have spend many hours re-upholstering the love seat as well as cleaning it up and finishing the furniture that was brought out. My mom has been amazing and has helped me either by sanding or watching kids so I can work without little helpers.
We are also having our patio done while she is out here so we have spent many hours watching the workers through the windows and chatting it up with them.
We have also worked in the garden and had an opportunity to pick as many cherries as we wanted . . . for FREE! It was another unexpected last minute project and I am so grateful for her help. Hannah even got her hands stained up pitting the cherries with us. She was super cute and did quite a good job. So far we have 5 quarts of cherries preserved and have 2 huge bags that we need to finish still. I'm looking forward to many yummy cherry treats in the months ahead.
