Pumpkin Patch With Grandma

Today Marc's parents came to help put the doors up and as much trim as they could get up in one busy day.  Dad says he enjoys it and has fun - which I believe - but I also worry that we work him to hard.  We appreciate all that he does for our family, he really is THE BEST!

While Marc and Dad were working hard in the basement Mom and I were busy being with kids.  Luckily it was a beautiful day so the kiddos spent a majority of the day outside playing while mom and I got some chatting time in, she got some special time with Hannah and Andrew and I was able to get some things done around the house.  Because it was so pretty out we decided to tackle the pumpkin patch & hayride at J&J Garden Center just down the street from us.

I was rather surprised at how fast everything went.  We waited less then minute for our tractor hayride where much to my surprise our Realtor Sean Tracey, who helped us get into our awesome Syracuse home was driving the tractor.   We knew that he also worked part time at J&J but in the last 2 1/2 years we have never run into him there even though we have frequented there quite a bit.  It was a fun surprise to see him.

After Sean dropped us off at the pumpkin patch the kiddos went crazy looking for pumpkins.  On the hayride over to the patch Rachel adamantly said that she wanted to find the biggest one that she could. And she did.  It was so big she could barely carry it so I ended up hefting it for her.

With the help of Grandma Hannah found a super cute pumpkin with lots of little green freckles all over it.  Benjamin found a super unique one - just like my unique little grasshopper. Grandma also found a cute little round one for Andrew.  He loved poking it, and eating dirt.

We sure did love our special time with Grandma Anson and our hard working Grandpa.
