Watermelon Srikers

Rachel had her first game of the season on Saturday with her new team the Watermelon Strikers.  She is in heaven!  She loves soccer so much and this year she is lucky enough to have a friend of church on her team.  Though her best friend is on a different team, which they ironically enough played against and beat 3-1 for their first game.

Rachel is #5 and her best friend on the other team is Chloe #4.  Rachel has improved so much since her first year in soccer.  I really could see her playing for a long time. And if she has anything to do with it, she will.

After the game we headed down to Marc's parents to celebrate the girls' birthdays.  Rachel has been talking about her birthday cake since Easter.  She even insisted on saving some Easter candy to decorate the cake.  She wanted a chocolate Easter bunny cake and the bunny had to have freckles just like she does.
