We have had the privilege of meeting and befriending the wonderful Roemmele family the last couple years.  Rachel and Sarah had the same Kindergarten teacher AND the same 1st grade teacher.  These two were inseparable. Maybe almost to a fault.  We could see how much Rachel looked up to Sarah and would try so hard to be like her. It was cute - and slightly concerning. Not concerning because Sarah is a bad kid, concerning only because we want Rachel to be able to stand up on her own two feet and be okay.  Be herself and be happy that she is a wonderful individual all on her own.  None the less we still loved the fact that she had found a "BESTIE".  We were thrilled to have the opportunity to have Sarah join our family most days after school for snack, homework time, playtime and dinner for most of 1st grade.  Her parents both had to work so we took Sarah home to join us so she wouldn't be alone.  I was like a second mom to her. We had hard days and she saw my crazy, stressed-out, trying-to-adjust-to-a-new-baby mommy mode probably too much, but she was great. She took everything in stride and even jumped in to help.

Well today we said goodbye to this cutie.  She and her family are moving across country to a foreign (to me) city Wuster Massachusetts. Rachel is already saving her money and planing a trip out to see her. For now she will have to be okay with being her pen pall, spending hours on the phone, skyping and sending fun packages filled with goodies. We will miss you Sarah and all of her silly ways.

It's really spelled Worcester, MA. But they say Wuster. It's funny.
