Let me tell you something. Benjamin is sure one lucky kid. Because of his birth date he gets to celebrate for an entire week! We started celebrations the Saturday before by eating out at Brick Oven, mmmm - LOVE their food! Then on his actual day he opened up his gifts from us, then scooted off to swimming lessons. Which he passed by the way. I really wasn't worried about, we call him our little fish - his swim coach now understands why and agrees with us.
On the 4th we headed down super early to catch the Provo parade as is per tradition. Then we headed to Marc's parents for a yummy cookout, water fight, and MORE birthday celebrations.
Then today, July 6th we threw him a BIG monster bash birthday party for him to celebrate with friends. It was actually a lot of fun making the cake and planning for the party. If I had all the money and all the resources I would have gone WAY crazy because this was just a way fun theme. Marc helped me come up with a fun monster shoot out game. It took several prototypes of monsters to finally get something to work right but in the end the kids loved the game and kept going back to shoot the monsters.
I'm so glad we had so many friends come celebrate with us. I KNOW it made Benjamin feel so important and loved - as he should!
