After a short season of soccer last year, Benjamin decided he didn't much like soccer. Rachel on the other hand loves it. He grudgingly goes to her games and sits there bored to tears every Saturday, that's how much I think he really doesn't like it.
One thing he does love is baseball, so we decided to sign him up this year and I think we finally found a match for him. And his coach, is awesome! I seriously couldn't have asked for a better coach. He worked so well with the kiddos, he got down on their level, he had fun, he laughed with them and I think he actually enjoys coaching. I really think the coach can make or break someones experience and I'm so grateful we have great one.

Tonight was their first time meeting. Tonight was pretty much a night for getting to know each other getting uniforms, talking about rules and practicing a little.
Benjamin did great! He was an amazing listener, he hit the ball (despite the helmet being ginormous and covering his eyes), and he threw the ball amazingly well. I think all that practice with his cousin Zac has paid off.
So here we are off on a new adventure. One I am actually kind of excited to begin.
AND if you notice I actually got some real smiles out of Benjamin. If you know him at all you will know getting a really smile out of him is liking pulling teeth!
