I love photography.
I love taking and looking at photos of nature, my children, food - anything that inspires me.
I love being able to document our family history.

I remember taking photography classes in High School and a couple in college (just for fun) and loving every minute of them. Since then I always wanted to have an amazing camera so I can capture everything important to me. I read somewhere that if you have and 'eye' for and knowledge of everything related to photography that any photographer can take amazing pictures with any camera - even the point and shoot kind.

Well I always thought I did a pretty decent job at pictures and always craved for something better, something sharper, something faster to keep up with our busy life.  So I had dreams about how one day maybe in the future when we could afford it I would get a DSLR camera.  That day seemed to be getting further and further away as we pursued Marc's schooling, job changes and starting his own business.  Then everything for the kids came first.

Little did I know that Marc was scheming up a little surprise for me.  Valentines day morning he handed me an envelope and inside was a poem he had written for me.

What is the price of a dream?
Some would say, it's too much to pay.
More sense it seems, to put off your dreams,
but inside the soul decays.
Putting off goals just fills us with holes.
What will satisfy?
Perhaps the chance to be dancing Your dance.
Reach out. Grasp your vision!
Your soul is worth more than treasures of Earth.
What is the price of your dream?
It's nothing compared to the Eternal fare,
Of not living your vision.

A few days later this arrived on our doorstep:

Now I'm busy taking lots of pictures, learning everything about my new camera and LOVING every moment of it!

Can't wait to post some of the amazing moments I have been able to capture with this beauty.
