Sunday February 3, 2013 we decided to bless Andrew. The day before we attended Ally's baptism in Payson. It was a very fun filled family weekend and at the end of the day we still all love each other.
The morning started off early, much too early for my liking but when Andrew decides to change his sleeping schedule we don't have much of a choice. Snuggles in bed make it all worth it though.
Then we did a little photo shoot before church.
The blessing itself was of course wonderful, filled with lots of blessings, wishes and hopes for the future. Just before all of the med went up to bless Andrew he started too fill his diaper. One thing we have learned about Andrew is that he is NOT a quiet pooper. There's lots of grunting involved and many blowouts. Marc and I just looked at each other with fear but there was nothing we could do. During the blessing they use a microphone so those in the back of the congregation can hear. (Have you figured out where I'm going with this yet?) Of course he finished filling his diaper and that microphone I told you about picked up that lovely sound just perfectly. And it wasn't a little, it was a lot - he just kept going and going.
Afterward Marc carefully held him up for everyone to see. When he got to the bench I put him in the car seat grabbed the diaper bag and ran to the bathroom. He didn't blowout but if we had waited any longer than I know for a fact we wouldn't have been so lucky.
After all of our meetings everyone came to our house for yummy soups, rolls, cookies, visiting and playing. And at the end of the day I know we all felt like this:

This post brought lots of giggles. So sad we missed all the good family time. It makes me ache when we don't get to attend the big days. Thanks for posting all of the pictures though so we can see everyone. That little baby of yours is sure beautiful! My favorite though is of the group picture with ally's hands around Hannah's neck. Classic! Emmy still talks to me about Hannah.
I love this post! What a beautiful day. I can't think of anything more special in the world than the love of family and friends.
The top picture is actually my favorite. When I saw it I said, "Awwww". I love it when fathers are tender with their children, warms my heart!
(ps-that little guy has great timing and I bet no one will forget his blessing anytime soon!)
