S[NO]w, not kidding

No, I haven't even posted about Easter but there is no way I can not, not post about this. Who would have thought on April 6 we would have woken up to 6+ inches of snow!? I certainly didn't and Marc certainly didn't enjoy having to dig out the shovel and boots again.
This is a picture of our neighbors tree, our tree on the North side lost 2 big branches from all of the snow. Nothing like natural pruning right?

While Rachel and I were getting ready inside our nice warm house, Marc and Benjamin were outside shoveling the snow. Benjamin has been getting up between 6-6:30 everyday, not exactly sure why, but my theory is because he knows he can see Marc before he leaves for work in the morning. Today he was able to go outside and help daddy, I hope he doesn't expect that everyday now.

After Marc left and we all had our breakfast I bundled the kids up to play in the snow. I can only imagine what they were thinking as thy stared at the swing set.

Their snow boots were already packed up, so they had to wear their rain boots instead. But it didn't stop them from wanting me to pull them around the yard in the sled or stomping around in the thigh-high snow.
Rachel also attempted to make a "snow guy." It wasn't really good packing snow, so she just shoveled snow onto the freshly shoveled driveway and stuck a stick in it. She was very proud of and even took this picture herself. Even though the kids had a lot of fun in the snow, I'm ready for it to be done so we can play outside in the grass and plant our starts for our garden. The starts are getting huge and beginning to take over my kitchen window!
