Sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa's

All of the cousins had a great sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa Anson's, glow sticks included! Their new house is so big that there was plenty of room for all of us...granted Marc and I were in the 'food storage room' but hey didn't have to worry about going hungry!! :) After everyone was in their PJ's the cousins watched a little video, then we turned out the lights had some silly fun with glow sticks...yes even Benjamin stayed up a little later to join in the fun. David's Amy tried to make a Hula-Hoop out of them...let's just say it didn't quite work...but it was sure fun to watch :) After the kids were tucked in all of the adults sat on mom and dads floor and played Phase 10 by midnight we decided we should probably get some sleep. All of the kids slept well (even Benjamin slept through the night!!) I think mostly because we wore them out.

In the morning we had a BIG breakfast then headed up canyon for a picnic. It was absolutely beautiful up there and everyone had fun 'hiking' and throwing rocks in the river. There was a sign that said "you are in bear country" but we sure didn't see any. There was a fellow 'hiker' that caught a snake and lizard though :)

After the picnic we headed back to Marc's parents house to play until the birthday party that evening. I think we were all a little tired but no one wanted to take a nap because, well they would miss something. I think Benjamin was a little out of it at times, he did some pretty silly/strange things. After dinner we sent the kids outside with bubbles...which they enjoyed. But not in the way you would think. Instead of blowing the bubbles they thought it was more fun to use the bubble wands as swords! Ahhh, to be a kid again.

Looks like so much fun! I wish I could be closer to my parents and brothers so we could do fun stuff like you guys do. (Or close to you guys so I could just join in!) I didn't know Ken & Donna got a new house. My mom's not always the best at passing on news. Where is it?
