Living Planet Aquarium

On Friday we went to the Living Planet Aquarium with David, Amy, Caleb, Jacob, Amy's brother David, and Marc's parents. We have not seen them for a year and a half and this was the first time that David, Amy and their boys met Benjamin. Rachel loved playing with her cousins and Benjamin didn't freak out once (he must have known they were family!) :) Everyone had a blast looking at all of the different fish, 'driving' a boat, seeing an octopus, jelly fish, sharks, touching sting rays and snakes. Okay, Rachel was too scared to touch the sting rays and Benjamin thought the pool they were in was more for playing in. And while I'm telling the whole truth...Benjamin actually squeezed the Boa Constrictor not touched it...at least it wasn't the other way around :)

For lunch we went to the Mayan Restaurant because we thought the kids would have fun watching the people dive into the pool while we were eating. Let's just say we were right! Between Rachel cutting her chips with a fork and knife, me spilling water, Benjamin spilling water 2 times (they have to wash the floor right!?) and watching people dive in the pool everyone had a blast.

After lunch we headed to Marc's parents to hang out for a while. David, Amy and their boys joined us after getting their haircut. We had some bowling tournaments on the Wii in which David was proclaimed the winner and the kids enjoyed playing with the toys. Benjamin got some bonding time with his boy cousins and for a change Rachel was the only girl cousin there but it didn't seem to phase her. After a bedtime snack and snuggles with Uncle David Benjamin crashed before we even got into the van. It was a long, late drive home that night but it was worth it!
