Splash Pad

To kick off the 4th of July celebrations we went to the splash pad with several friends on Friday. The splash pad is an area that has motion sensor fountains to play in. The kids all had a good old time getting wet, playing on the playground and having a picnic lunch.

At first Rachel didn't like the idea of getting splashed so she would just run around the entire thing going "Wee, I did it! I got wet!" When in reality she didn't even get a sprinkle on her! What a silly kiddo! We were finally able to get her to get wet...a little...by telling her to stick her tushy out so it could get wet. It worked and I was lucky enough to snap a photo of that, it was just too funny to see and everyone sure got a good laugh out of it. Shortly after doing that though she decided she was done and wanted to play at the playground...but not in her swimsuit. So guess what she did!? She stripped down to her bare cheeks in the middle of daylight and in front of 30 or so people-some of who we didn't even know!! At least she is young and has a cute little tushy...that's all I have to say :)
