For a while Rachel has been telling me when she is going potty and poopy so I've talked to her about being a big girl, wearing underwear, and using a potty chair. She sounded excited, so today I bought her a potty chair. I let her pick it out and as soon as we got home she said "I want to go potty mommy." So I set it out and gave her a book...15 minutes later she said "I did go poopy and potty mommy in my little potty chair!!" Sure enough she did! We cleaned up, put on her big girl underwear and practiced pulling them down fast and sitting down on the potty chair. Then she said she wanted to go potty again (sounds like she is excited right?!) I told her that she could try again after her nap, first thing. Now she is upstairs sleeping so we will see what happens after she wakes up. Potty training here we come!!

Fun times! And she is your first! Good luck, I am a big believer in the "once you start never look back" theory.
WOW! I hope we have that great of a start when the time comes! How old is Rachel again?
I can just picture you "practicing" with her and hearing the little squeal of her voice and being so excited. Good luck. I'm not even thinking about that yet. Toby likes to watch, but I'm pretty sure it would be too big of a headache right now.
Oh great! It sounds like things went pretty well. Hopefully her excitement hasn't wained. I tried starting Jarum the other day, he did great until we went to someone else house. He had an accident and it was all over from there. I usually don't do pullups but with him it might be a good thing. He hated the feel of being wet or dirty. So we are going to try again tomorrow, if he doesn't scream when I put him on the toilet. . .
