Another trip to the docts

A few weeks ago I noticed they Benjamin has a bump underneath his left eyelid off to the side. It seemed a little sore to him, it didn't seem to be getting bigger or smaller but I took him in anyway just to be safe. Our pediatrician said it looks like a benign cyst but it would need to eventually be removed because after a while it can keep his eye from opening and in turn cause him to have a lazy eye. So she referred us to an eye surgeon to determine the best course of action. Most likely they will let him get a little older before they do anything she said but it's best to get going on it now. So Monday BRIGHT AND EARLY (8 AM) we'll be headed to his office for our appointment. I'll let you know what he says. You can't really get a good picture of the cyst because you have pull his eye lid a little, and let the light catch it just right, so I posted a cute picture of him instead.

I am sorry you have to go through all of this. It can be so scarry when it involves your children. Charity needed surgery when she was one and of course so did Julia. It is a nerve racking thing to give your child over to a sranger and hope that all goes well. One thing I have gained a testimony of though these experiences is, the Lord really does know each of us and will comfort us in our time of anxiety. He will lift and support us when we think that it is impossible. He loves you and your children.

Sorry to go on and on, I just want you to know that you aren't alone and our prayers will be with you. Keep us in the loop!

My nephew Jordan had the same thing. He had it removed a couple months ago when he was like 6 months old. Seems to be doing just fine now.

When Jay was born he was in the NICU for the first two weeks of his life because he wasn't breathing. Our children's health problems are frightening, but, I was blown away by the staff at our Children's Hospital. Wonderful, caring, attentive, I just can't say enough superlatives to describe their excellent level of care. When children are involved, it's as if everyone involved only gives 100%. Besides, sweet little innocents deserve only our fullest attention, right?! Let us know how it all turns out!

Oh, I am so sorry. I hope things go good for you Monday. That sure is a cute picture of him, but I think I can see the little bump you are talking about. You will be in our prayers, too.
