And the Baby is.....

A Boy!!!! We had our ultrasound this morning and learned that we will be welcoming Benjamin David into our family, and maybe a little earlier than expected. Besides learning that we are having a boy we also learned that he is further along than they thought and his new due date is July 4 - maybe he will come in with a bang! The Radiologist said that he looked healthy and there wasn't anything to be worried about which is good news. We saw his little heart pumping away, we saw his brain, arms, legs, face and his little boy parts several times. He wasn't shy at all about letting us know that he was a boy. Near the end of the ultrasound he crossed his legs and put his hands together as if he were saying a prayer. It was super cute! The Radiologist also said that my plancenta was low and close to the cervix but didn't seem to be over it so I shouldn't need a c-section. Which is good, after watching c-sections on a Baby Story it makes me nervous to have one (of course I would if I needed to). They just look so painful and gross. On a lighter note now we can start getting him some cute outfits and looking for a suit to have him blessed in. We are excited and blessed to have him join our family and can't wait to meet him in person and watch him grow into a young man.

The wrong side of the bed

Everynight before I crawl into bed I check on Rachel to make sure she is okay. Usually she is snug as a bug in a bed with her two bears, her elephant, her moose and her penguin. But tonight as I went in there was something a little different. Instead the bathroom door was open, her bed was empty and there was this snoring lump on the floor at the end of her bed. Much to my surprise it was Rachel fast asleep snuggled with bear, penguin and her elephant.

Pregnancy thoughts

Okay so I was happy to find out I was pregnant again but I was also scared. I mean how do you take care of two!? Especially when your husband is gone 14 hours a day and has classes on Saturday? I don't have the answers yet and I probably won't for a long time but I do know that as of last week I'm super excited and can't wait to have this little baby join our family!! Maybe the excitement comes from the fact that I felt the baby move for the first time last week or because I've been watching A Baby Story on TLC with Rachel. She gets so excited when she sees the babies that she'll point to my belly and say "mamma baby" and give my belly a hug and a kiss. All I know is that I'm itching out of my skin wanting to know if it's healthy and if we have a Benjamin or an Audrey. I'm so excited, in fact, that I've got the crib all ready, the blankets all folded and ready to go, some dresser drawers empty, I've organized all the newborn clothes we have, I walk through the baby section at the store and I'm stocking up on newborn diapers. I have a few more months left I know but you can never be too prepared right?

Good Morning

This morning Rachel came into our bedroom as we were talking looking like this. It was the funniest thing we have seen in a while and made us laugh for a long time. How do kids manage to do such strange things when they are sleeping? The world may never know.

s"NO"w more fun

We got 6 more inches of snow this morning and more is on it's way. Here is Marc digging us out again during his lunch break, poor guy. Just as he was about to be done shoveling today the snow plow finally came and buried his car and the end of the driveway. He wasn't very happy.

Fun Times

I finally found Rachel a corn popper at Kid to Kid for a few bucks.
She loves the toy and I love the store! Every day Rachel carries or wears Marc's slippers around the house saying "Daddy, Daddy", talk about big shoes to fill.

Rachel got a card that plays music for her birthday in August. Amazingly it still works for how often she listens to it. Here she is showing off some of her new moves.
