So I've moved his crib in Rachel's room across from her bed. This week he will be sleeping in the pack and play in the play room which is adjacent to her bedroom. Then if all goes well he will move back into the crib. I actually feel a little guilty now having him out of the room especially when he smiles really big when he sees me. I kind of miss him sleeping next to me in the crib...but I don't miss the crib being in our uper-super tiny bedroom. I feel like I have some breathing room finally!
Another big change for Rachel (besides sharing her room soon) is that she has been 'broken' of the nook. We knew she could sleep without it but we weren't going to rush things. Then conveniently on Tuesday she lost her nook. (I seriously can't find it anywhere-no little white lie) When she asked for it at bed time we told her it was lost and we couldn't find it. I asked if she could try sleeping without it and she said ya. I told her we would look for it the next day when it was light out and I did, I tore her bedroom, playroom and our room apart looking for it. But I couldn't find it anywhere. She asked for it at nap time and I told her I couldn't find it. Well to make a long 3 days short she has gone to bed and down for naps with NO nook just fine and has slept all night long!! WAHOO!!!!! So now that that is done, we have sharing a room transition and then potty training!! One big change at a time.
Oh and I broke down and bought a double stroller so I can get some excercise and save gas. I got a killer deal on it and it's being shipped to my house for free. I'm so excited!!

Hooray for Rachel! I'm so proud of her. What a big girl! Isn't it great how "accidentally" losing something can turn out to be a huge bonus? Good luck with potty training, by the way. I'm not looking forward to doing it again! It was seriously a big consideration when we thought about having another baby!
Way to bite the bullet on the room thing. They are going to be such great friends! How fun for them to be able to wake up together in the morning.
You may want to find that nook just so she doesn't find if first. Yay for Rachel.
As for my end of the deal, I laid down with Toby last night for half an hour and then ended up putting him in his crib. Then about 11:00 he was crying really mad so I went in and rocked him and then put him in the bed. He fell asleep there, but kept waking up to see if I was still sitting there next to him. As long as I was, he would go back to sleep. But when I left the room, it was a matter of minutes before he came walking out of the room sleepy eyed holding his teddy-bear. I put him back in his crib. I know I cave. I think he is teething again. He's kind of got a cold too. So I thought I'd take it as slow as he wants too.
Good job on the transition.
