We decided to have pudding tonight as a FHE snack. I thought I was being a smart mom - we cleaned up toys, had a bath and put on nice clean PJ's for bed. Then we went downstairs to have our chocolate pudding. I thought it was a great idea...you know stick to the routine...until I looked at her and the carpet. What was I thinking?! Now we have chocolate stains on the carpet and on her PJ's. But how can I be upset at her, it was my fault for thinking a 2 year old could eat chocolate pudding neatly. I guess that's how you become a 'seasoned' parent.Sunday, September 14, 2008
Oh the joy of pudding....

Seasoned? I think I am "tanned leather"!!!
There will surely be more like this, make sure you have a camera and a since of humor!
Love ya,
Dad and Mom
haha, Toby ate his yogurt once without making a mess, so the next time I gave it to him I didn't take off his nice church shirt...and of course then he was wearing a yogurt beard.
Well, it looks like was yummy though.
Your carpet will pretty much never be the same...I'm sorry. Just think of these fun memories you're making! I think having kids really helps you remember how unimportant 'things' really are. Don't worry-I still think you're a smart mom, and I'm sure Rachel does, too!
You are a seasoned parent! And even seasoned parents will still have "What was I thinking?" moments. I do. I love the new stroller. I wish they had had strollers like that when we went double. As for the sharing a room, way to go. It is a big step. I hope it is working out. I have always been amazed at how well the kids have slept through each others' nighttime issues. We even changed Sariah's sheets once while she was asleep in the bed because Zac had thrown up. She hardly even flinched. Go figure.
