Happy Easter

We got back from MN yesterday afternoon late so we didn't make it to bunny day at Grandma and Grandpa Anson's this year and there are no egg hunt pictures. We still had some Easter fun today in the 'warm' sun with Rachel in her Easter dress and Bonnet after church. She loved being able to run around with daddy and mommy on the grass, then we went in for a yummy dinner Brazilian style.

Love from a distance

Much to my mom's dismay Rachel loves her but as long as she doesn't hold her. She can play with her or watch her play, she can even read her books but that's as far as the relationship goes.

The adventures of the young and the old

Rachel loves to spend time with her great grandpa but not as much as he loves to spend time with her I think. Everyday when he comes up she runs to the window screaming "Poppa! Poppa!"Then she waves to him as he slowly makes his way in, she then runs to the door and gives him a big kiss and hug before he is all the way in. After he makes his way into the house and sits at the table Rachel starts asking for her 'coloies' (colors) so they can color together. They do that for a while then she gets down and plays while he watches, sings her some silly songs and laughs at everything that she does. Then they have lunch together where he ends up eating half of her lunch and she eats half of his. After lunch they both take an after noon nap and play again before dinner. Today was a special day, it was actually nice enough weather that he took her for a ride around the property on his 'gator'. During the ride she was laughing, squealing, clapping her hands and saying 'cool' and 'neat'! When it was time to come in and for him to go she cried because she wanted to be with grandpa, good thing we have another day to play.

A girls true best friend?

They say a mans best friend is a dog, so is a girls best friend a cat? (I missed a better photo opp when the cat was half way in the tub with her...lets just pretend that's what I got)

Frequent Flyer

Rachel and I are currently in MN for a week to visit my mom who had surgery on her foot. It was my first time flying alone with toddler as well as being pregnant. I was a little nervous but I shouldn't have been, Rachel did great at the airport and on the plane. She loved looking out of the window as we took off and landed, she sat in her car seat (which was not the easiest thing to bring on a plane but I did it!) the entire time, read books, ate snacks and sang songs. In fact the only time that she fussed even a little was when my Uncle Gordy picked us up in his truck. As I was putting the car seat in his truck she started to cry, it was short lived though because I gave her "Fannie" (her pink elephant). When we got to my Aunt and Uncles she was a little scared and overwhelmed again but soon got over that when she saw the 4 dogs and 2 cats. After that she was wired and wouldn't take a nap! She spent the rest of the day chasing after the cats and dogs. One dog is so large she calls her bear whenever she sees her...who can correct her the dog is huge and to a little girl could look like a bear.

Shout out to the Fam

What we learn in Nursery

Rachel loves nursery but not as much as her new favorite song that she learned in it. It's one that we now sing at home over and over and over and .... well you get the idea.

Pregnancy Picture

We realized that we didn't have any pregnancy photos of me this time around so we broke out the camera to show off my belly. Marc thought it would be cool to do the picture in front of the mirror so you can get a good 360 view...as if one side doesn't show off how big I am.

Like Mother Like Daughter

So how cool is this. This used to be my jean jacket that I wore when I was Rachel's age. I tried it on her for fun the other day and it fit so of course she just had to wear it. My mom put on these different patches in random places making it a fun, one of a kind jacket and makes it really easy to keep track of your kid in public. Thanks mom for keeping some of my clothes so my daughter can dress like I did. Love ya!
